Teri Phillips

May 11, 1962 — November 9, 2022

Teri "TJ" Phillips, 60, of Milan, passed away on November 9, 2022, at Unity Point Trinity, Rock Island.

Per her wishes cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.

Teri was born on May 11, 1962, daughter of Don L. Phillips and Rosalie (Aden) Phillips.

Teri was a pitcher on her high school softball team and she played basketball as well. She had a creative mind and used that skill to do autobody work on cars and semis, as well as many other personal drawings. She enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and spending time with her family. She was always one to offer a helping hand and she loved encouraging others and making them laugh.

She loved collecting oriental decorative pieces and she would never turn down a night at a casino, followed by a bowl (or two) or her favorite chocolate chip ice cream. Teri also enjoyed going to Salvation Army to hunt for treasures that she could resell on Ebay. She could spot a pair of shoes worth a fortune, a mile away. Teri's final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ donation.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Makayla (Brandon) Knepp, brother Gregg Phillips, brother-in-law Doug Morris, nieces Heather (Brandon) Moore, Tara (Steven) Jackson, Melissa (Devin) Daniels, Anita (Katie), nephew Andrew (Annabelle) Morris, and several great nieces and nephews.

Teri was preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters Donette "Donnie" Phillips and Lorri Morris.

Family and friends are invited to share memories and express condolences on her memory page.
