Tommie Lee White, a cherished son, brother, and father, departed this world on March 11, 2025, in Rock Island, Illinois, at the age of 67. Born on December 9, 1957, in Kennett, Missouri, Tommie's vibrant spirit and generous heart left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Tommie was not only known for his warm smile but also for his unparalleled culinary skills. He took immense joy in cooking, and it was often said that he made the best BBQ ribs anyone had ever tasted. Friends and family eagerly gathered around his table, where laughter and love were always served alongside delicious food. His passion for cooking was just one of the many ways he expressed his affection for those he held dear.

Beyond the kitchen, Tommie had a deep love for music and football, passions that provided solace and joy throughout his life. He found great happiness in spending quality time with his family, often reminiscing about their beloved Kennett, Missouri, where many memories were made. Family gatherings were a hallmark of his life, filled with stories, laughter, and the bonds that only siblings can share.

Tommie leaves behind a strong legacy of love and connection, surviving by his seven devoted sisters: Bessie Brooks of Poplar Bluff, Rosa Jefferson of Kennett, Bobbie White of Kennett, Glenda Merritt (Danny) of Clarkton, Carla Mullins of Blytheville, Arkansas, Roberta Jones (Glen) of Clarkton, and Patsy McGowen of Clarkton; as well as four loving brothers: J.C. Taylor (Rita) of Las Vegas, Glen White (Jackie) of Kennett, Benny White (Iris) of Baltimore, Maryland, and James White (Kim) of Detroit, Michigan. He also leaves behind his beloved son, Nick, who carries forward Tommie’s spirit and legacy.

Tommie's journey in this life was shadowed by the loss of cherished family members who now welcome him with open arms. He is reunited with his mother, Ruthie White, and father, J.C. White, along with his sister Easter, sister Leisa, and brother Larry. The love shared among them is a testament to the strength of family bonds, bonds that transcend time and space.
