Vera Jean Lampo, 62, of Manchester, IA, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Society, Davenport, IA. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. The family will schedule a Celebration of Life for a later date.
Vera came from a family of 12 children. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and loved to talk to them every time she had a chance. She was a very proud and devoted grandmother, mother, sister, friend and wife. Vera loved to sit and talk about "The Good OL Days" of her childhood, family and the places she grew up. She loved to listen to Elvis and the Sindt boys play their guitar in the garage. She enjoyed going out to eat and giving the waitresses a hard time because she had waitressed for years and had high expectations.
You could find Vera going to the Casino, cooking, drinking her Pepsi with lots of ice, watching Western movies starring John Wayne, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and Supernatural, or sitting outside, enjoying the weather and giving friends and family a hard time. She also loved the music of Elvis, Johnny Cash, Sindt Boys from Montpelier, old country and The Eagles
She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Roquet (Tyson Larsen) and three children, Hayley, Tabatha and Ryan, Dows, IA, son, David Lampo, (Shana) and two children, Rebecca and Lydia of Buffalo, IA, step-daughters, Tina Mosley (William) and their eight children and nine grandchildren, Dawn Glaudel (Brian) and three children, Danielle Lewandowski (Mike) and their three children of Virginia, brothers, Bob Cole, Davenport, IA, Russ Cole (Nancy), Davenport, IA, Poncho Cole, Davenport, IA, Gilbert Cole (Patty), Davenport, Lester Lobdell, Montpelier, IA, sister, Anna Meyer (Leroy), Manchester, IA, sisters-in-law, Brenda Cole, Manchester, IA, Anna Parker (Bob), TX, Margaret Bull (Jim), IL as well as many friends, family, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
