Veronica Vasquez

Veronica Vasquez, age 45, of Rock Island, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 5th, 2021.

Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded and a Celebration of Life for Veronica will be held at a later date.
She was the daughter of Carmen Ochoa. She met and fell in love with her one true love, Jesse Garcia, in 1995 till forever. .

Veronica loved her family and just loved life in general, when she was feeling down or times were rough she somehow always seemed to hold it together and get through the hard times and help everybody else through it as well. She was always there with a helping hand or just a listening ear to help out anyway she could. Veronica could be a jokester but could also be very serious at times. She loved with her whole heart, and her heart was open to everybody that needed it. She is going to be truly missed by so many, as she too was loved by so many that she had helped. She touched so many peoples lives by helping with their children and their families or with just being there for them in general. Veronica loved WWE wrestling, crafting, shopping, playing with her dog Rocky, and enjoying family time watching movies. She loved listening to Mexican music (Selena), Prince, Michael Jackson, and her recent favorite song was "Dancing in the Sky."

Her favorite quote and words to live by was: "Never give up and always hold your head up."

She was preceded in death by her mother Carmen Ochoa and her beloved dog Rocky

Survivors include: Her husband Jesse Garcia and her sons Johnathon Garcia and Jose Rosales; brothers Nieves (Andrea) Ochoa of East Moline, and Fernando Ochoa of East Moline; sisters Nancy (Brandon) Corona of Moline and Angelica Sandoval of East Moline; nephews Emmanuel, Omar, Malaky, Noah, and Nicholas; nieces Alexis, Baby Angelica, and Evalena.
