Waunetta L. Foutch, affectionately known as Wendy, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2023, in Davenport, Iowa.
Born on November 6, 1941, in San Diego, California, Wendy was a beacon of love, faith, and generosity, whose spirit touched the lives of many. Wendy was a woman of boundless energy and ceaseless love. Her zest for life was infectious, and she had the rare ability to fill a room with joy and laughter. She was known for her selfless nature, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her generous spirit, combined with her faith-filled heart, made her a pillar of strength and support for her family and friends. Wendy was an adoring grandmother to Amanda and Matthew Kaufmann, and a cherished great-grandmother to Dylan Murdock. Her love for her grandchildren was immeasurable, and she took every opportunity to spend time with them, creating countless precious memories. Her eyes would light up whenever she was in their company or simply talking about them.
In addition to her grandchildren, Wendy is also survived by her sisters, Shirley Baker and Dorthea (DeDe) Ozerities. The bond between the sisters was deep and enduring, marked by shared laughter, love, and mutual support. Wendy also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly for her warmth, wisdom, and the goofy sense of humor that never failed to bring a smile to their faces. Wendy's love extended beyond her immediate family. She enjoyed visiting with her extended family from all over the country, always welcoming them with open arms and a radiant smile. Her home was a hub of love and the sound of shared stories and laughter. Wendy was one of the sweetest, most selfless people one could ever have the privilege to meet. Her unwavering faith guided her actions, and her generosity knew no bounds. She was a woman who lived her life with grace, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to her loved ones. While Wendy's passing leaves a void that can never be filled, her legacy lives on in the love she shared and the lives she touched.
