Earl Wendt IV or known as "Boo" Wendt to most, brings over 40 years of experience in helping families during very difficult times so that their loved ones memories can be cherished and their lives celebrated.  He has been a licensed funeral director for 39 years and is the sixth generation of the Wendt family to own and operate Wendt Funeral Home.  His desire is to help families with the utmost compassion, care, and understanding while they navigate through the end-of-life process during such a difficult time.  In his spare time, you will find him in the great outdoors, whether it be hunting, fishing, or enjoying the rivers and lakes on his boat.

Jeffrey Eugene DeRoo was born and raised in the Quad Cities, Jeff returned to the area in 2005 and lives with his wife and teenage son in Moline. Years of working as a Supervisor in the funeral service business on the West Coast coupled with years of serving the families of the Quad Cities has led Jeff to understand his role as a Funeral Director is much more than a job;  it is a vocation. He knows each family suffering a loss needs to be treated with sincerity and respect as they try to manage losing a loved one. Aside from being a funeral director,  Jeff helped coach high school tennis for over 10 years and enjoys the outdoors, including hiking, fly fishing, and snow skiing.

Tamara brings over 36 years of entrepreneurial experience to Mississippi Valley Cremation & Direct Burial, specializing in Business Development & Marketing. She has owned several businesses from the time she was in her twenties, earning many accolades/awards along the way. She brings a keen eye and intuition for "what's happening" and is on-trend, no matter the industry. But most of all, she has a strong desire to help families with a SIMPLER way for the loved one's end-of-life. When she's not thinking of new innovative ideas for helping others, you can find her painting large abstract art, designing, traveling, or enjoying the great outdoors with her husband, Earl "Boo" Wendt.

Stephanie is new to the area and the funeral home business. She is very friendly with a strong compassion for others, along with a keen sense of keeping everything organized. She loves meeting new people and helping the families in any way possible. Stephanie is bilingual, speaking fluent Spanish. She is married and has two children. Also known as "Nana" to her five grandchildren.

Candice DeRoo has over 17 years of accounting experience along with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She oversees day-to-day accounting operations. Along with working at Mississippi Valley Cremation and Direct Burial, Candice is also a Senior Mortgage Loan Underwriter. She has a great eye for detail and loves a good challenge. Candice is not a Quad City native but has lived in Moline with her husband, Jeff DeRoo, and their son for over a decade. When she isn’t busy working, Candice enjoys traveling, baking, and spending time with her family and their two Beagles.
